A Product Add-On is an item that supplements or enhances a primary product, often dependent on it for functionality. These will display in the Product Page, Shopping Cart, and Quotes.
Product Add-ons give the opportunity to recommend additional items to the core product someone is buying, such as extended warranties, accessory products, etc. Product Add-ons are specifically designed to be purchased alongside a main product to enhance or complete it.

Recommending related products is a powerful and strategic tool and presents an excellent opportunity to upsell and cross-sell complementary and alternative products.
While the focus is still on the main product, your related products are displayed alongside it on the product page to show your customers other products that will likely interest them.
