Site Categories
A clear and logical category structure is vital for your website.

Yodify offers a fantastic building block start to your categories, which you can import and improve upon. It is suggested to build based off your clientele, products, and the journey you want your customers to see on your site.
Begin creating your categories in the Yodify Admin Portal by navigating to Product Catalogue > Categories.
Consider your category hierarchy and how every product is going to fit into it.
- Primary Categories
Your main product types or departments: consider limiting the number of these as practicable as possible. - Subcategories
You will likely have subcategories of your main categories. - Sub-Subcategories
Narrowing down your previous subcategories with another subcategory will help your customer navigate directly to their desired product type.
You have full control over the images, descriptions, and filters. Consider adding top & bottom content with relevant information on the products in that category.
Site Navigation—Header & Footers
Navigation allows you to configure the menu in the header and the footer of your site. Each menu item can be a link to a page, policy, product, category, or any other type of page on your site.
A menu item can also have submenu items, which allows you to design a hierarchy of site content and manage how your customers navigate.
Through the navigation, you can also set rules for if a section is displayed only on desktop or mobile, as well as if a user is logged in or anonymous.
The appearance of your header & footer can be adjusted based on what page component style is selected.
